ADD STUDENTS

 

1.      Log in to Ksystems with an administrator ID.

 

2.      At the main menu, choose Administrator Menu.

 

3.      In the dropdown, select Add Students.

 

 

4.      The Add Student page now appears. The district field will be pre-filled with the district name tied to the Administrator ID.

 

5.      The School State field will be pre-filled with the state tied to district of the Administrator ID.

 

6.      Enter the child’s first and last name. These two fields are required. Entering a middle name is optional.

 

7.      Enter the child’s race (optional field)

 

8.      Enter the child’s date of birth in mm/dd/yyyy format.

 

9.      Select the gender of the child by clicking the corresponding circle preceding the correct gender.

 

 

10.  Select the administrative users on whose caseloads the child will appear. This step is only required for Enhanced Ksystems districts. If your district does not utilize Enhanced Ksystems, this field will be gray and inalterable.

 

 

11.  Choose the child’s placement. If the placement does not appear in the dropdown, please contact your Kinney representative.

 

12.  Choose the child’s program.

            CSE:    should be selected for all other clients.

            CB:      centerbased service (used in NY Counties ONLY)

            RS:      related service (used in NY Counties ONLY)

 

13.  Add the student to the district’s caseload by clicking on the bold, blue words “Add a New Student to __________”.

 

 

 

Once the child has been added, the exact same screen will appear with no fields filled in. At the top of the form, a confirmation will appear as such:

           

            STATUS: ___________ Added!

 

 

Additional students may be added to the district’s roster or any other functions in Ksystems may now be completed by selecting from the blue main menu bar at the top of the screen.
