Getting to the Student Consent Page

 

1.      Log in to Ksystems

 

2.      At the main menu, select Administrator Menu

 

3.      In the drop down choose Student Consent

 

4.      Select the name of your district

 

5.      Select the school year for which the release applies

 

6.      Select the letter of the Child’s last name

 

 

Entering the Signed Release Information

 

1.      To enter information from a release form that has been received, find the child’s name and click edit

 

2.      Check the box in the Consent? Column. Once checked, a green check mark will appear.

 

3.      Click in the Consent date box and enter the date the consent letter was signed. All Dates MUST be in MM/DD/YYYY format. (example: 09/06/2007)

 

4.      Click in the IEP end date box and enter the date that the IEP ends.  All Dates MUST be in MM/DD/YYYY format. (example: 09/06/2007)

 

5.      Once the consent date and IEP end date have been entered, click Update.

 

6.      The Consent Date column will immediately show the date entered.

 

 

Once a child’s release date has been entered, Kinney will review all service data and release eligible service dates entered into Ksystems. The first consent date is valid for all retroactive services. Each subsequent consent date is valid for the life of the IEP. A new consent form is required for each IEP.
